The offices here closed on April 4, 2014 and this building was demolished on July 7, 2014. The school district offices moved to a new location at 150 S. 3rd Avenue on April 4, 2014 and then opened to the public on April 14, 2014.
Arcadia's First School -- This converted packing shed donated by Lucky Baldwin, was located on the northeast corner of Santa Anita Avenue and Huntington Drive, and opened as a school in 1903 with 58 students. Arcadia students had been attending schools in Monrovia, Sierra Madre and Chapman.

Small Spanish-style home. Address, at the time of the photo (1927) was 2747 Olive Street in Temple City. Numbers on Olive Street were changed and same house in 1980 has street number of 10159. This was girlhood home of Vera Van Houten and her family. The children went all the way through Arcadia schools as this home was in Arcadia School District.
