Many people are seen waiting in line to buy fresh corn at road-side stand called Carl's Sweet Corn and owned by Carl Kophamer at 75 Las Tunas. (NW corner of Las Tunas and Santa Anita Ave.) Corn is seen growing in large field behind the stand.

New ice cream shop in Arcadia is ready to roll. Instagammable ice cream awaits at Holy Roly Ice Cream, a Thai-inspired rolled ice cream. It is located at the Westfield Santa Anita Mall at 400 S. Baldwin Ave. #2220. Louis Kim, the owner and founder, is an architect and real estate developer.
Goldstein's Bagel Bakery will shut down on March 31 after nearly 16 years in Old Town Pasadena. Goldstein's has two other locations on Verdugo Road in La Canada Flintridge and Santa Anita Avenue in Arcadia that will remain open.

Hong Kong Supermarket, a New York-based company, will open a 25,000 square feet market at 935 W. Duarte Road, at the Mon-Arc Retail Shopping Center. It is the fifth Hong Kong Supermarket in the San Gabriel Valley, specializing in imported Asian groceries. It will serve customers from both Monrovia and Arcadia. Asians account for 10.9% of Monrovia's total population while Arcadia's Asian population is at 58.9%.
House at 22 E. Foothill Blvd. It housed a dress shop called the Copy Cat from about 1967-1975. During the 1930's and a bit into the 1940's, it was operated as a popular family restaurant. Prior to the Copy Cat years (about 1952-1960), Rita Thompson had it as her real estate office.
Major changes on tap for Arcadia in the new year. Delta Marriott Hotel slated for the old Santa Anita Inn; Arcadia's tallest building, currently housing Bank of America at 150 N. Santa Anita Avenue, has gone up for sale. The current Arcadia Self Storage at 35 W. Huntington Drive is proposed to become a modern food vendor location, reminiscent of the Grand Central Market in Downtown Los Angeles or the Anaheim Packing House.
H&M, the Swedish chain store, had its grand opening in Old Pasadena. Later in November, a 17,000 square foot H&M will open in Arcadia's Westfield Shoppingtown Santa Anita.

This was the first time this address showed in the city directory, so building apparently dates to 1930. Last business to use it was the Copy Cat custom dress design shop.
