Richard Dana intermediate school to open doors for first time. It is the second educational plant serving 7th and 8th grades, the other being First Avenue School. Dana's first principal is Joseph Bagnall. The modern school was designed by Boyd Georgi and Lee Kline, the same architects who planned the buildings at Camino Grove Elementary. Michael Goldstein, a 40-year old former stockbroker, and his wife Bridgethave opened Goldstein's Bagel Bakery at 221 N. Santa Anita Ave. after opening the original Goldstein's in Old Pasadena 5 years ago. It is the nation's first drive through bakery.
