Families of 13 Alzheimer's disease patients filed a class action law suit to order the government to approve the drug THA. Dr. William Summers of Arcadia was the first to report that THA was effective against Alzheimer's disease 5 years ago.

He is accused of selling addictive painkillers from his office over a 3-year period to patients he often did not examine. Federal authorities allege Healy dispensed oxycodone and hydrocodone, among other drugs, essentially using his practice as a drug-dealing operation.
