"Spirit of '76," Arcadia's float in the 1941 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, reproduced the original masterpiece in pom poms, cornflowers, daisies, delphinium, larkspur, calendulas, sweet peas and Talisman roses.
"A Garden of Roses," Arcadia's float entry in the 1974 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, features a romantic formal rose garden with two gracefully arched flowered trees at the front. In the center is a floral fountain. In the rear is a white floral bird cage. Coleman Enterprises, Inc.
"Your Own Back Yard," Arcadia's float entry in the 1992 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, features a garden area centerpieced by a large tree and tree house. Riding on the float is the Arcadia Rose Court.
"White Christmas," Arcadia's float entry in the 1980 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, salutes the song "White Christmas" as performed by Bing Crosby. A revolving Christmas tree is in the center. Sculptured snowflakes and peacocks are also featured. Arcadia's Rose Court rode on the float.
Arcadia's float in the January 1, 1980 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade. It was titled WHITE CHRISTMAS. Riding on the float were: MarrLin Greathouse, queen; and princesses Judi Bithell, Laurie Churchman, Tina Borgatta, and Amy Pfau.
Lightly poised upon a single branch of acacia, a yellow butterfly emerging from its chrysalis heralded the 1915 Pasadena Tournament of Roses float for the City of Arcadia. The entry was designed by Mrs. Anita Baldwin McClaughry. Formed of yellow roses, marigolds and pom pom chrysanthemums, the butterfly is emerging from a chrysalis of gray-green foliage nine feet in length. This was the first official City of Arcadia entry in the Rose Parade.
"Happy New Year," Arcadia's float entry in the 1989 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, features a top hat and cane, a pair of white gloves and two champagne glasses overflowing with orchids and roses. The Arcadia Rose Court rides on the float.
"Hot dog and bun," the Santa Anita Village float entry in the 1950 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, featured a 12 foot hot dog. In front is a beach scene with three girls. One girl is Marilyn Meyers (later Barilotti).
"Where Dreams Come True," Arcadia's float entry in the 1991 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, presents a frog prince surrounded by gardens and the Arcadia Rose Court.
Arcadia's 1926 float entry in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, "The Queen of the Foothills," and her court rode under a canopy of pink carnations. The background, signifying the foothill district, was typified by mountain oak and white and lavender heather.
"June Bride," Arcadia's float entry in the 1963 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade features a garden wedding with a water lily pond, and two large trees in the garden with baskets of yellow roses hanging from them. "America the Beautiful," Arcadia's float entry in the 1962 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade. Perched atop red, white and blue shield is a majestic eagle with wings spread. Decorated with masses of roses shading from pink to deep rose, Arcadia's float entry in the 1931 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade was a formal garden called the "Rose Court." It was occupied by a rose queen and her attendants. One woman in dress and crown stands in the middle and two boys stand on the left side of the photo.
"On the Air," a combined Arcadia-Monrovia float entry in the 1940 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, featured a floral radio. Ten people rode on the float.
Arcadia's 1929 float entry in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, "The Old Oaken Bucket." This float was entered by the Boy Scouts. Wishing well is blurry under a canopy.
"Spring is in the Air," Arcadia's float entry in the 1981 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, features butterflies with ancient Chinese patterns on their wings. The Arcadia Rose Court rides on the float.
"Proud as a Peacock - 200 Years," Arcadia's float entry in the 1976 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, features stylized 12 foot peacocks of white carnation petals gracefully perched in rose-covered trees. The sculptured trees slowly revolve beneath a canopy of roses and carnations.
