Alfred Paredes of AP Sculpture Studio is the sculptor (wearing shorts and cap), standing to the right, of the Lucky Baldwin statue called "A Dawn in the West." Photo was taken after the patina was completed at Art Bronze Foundry in Burbank, CA. The two on the left of the statue are artisans who applied the patina. "Ireland," Arcadia's float entry in the 1932 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade represented St. Patrick seated by the River Shannon and one of its historic bridges.
Anita Baldwin seated on a camel in front of the Great Sphinx and one of the pyramids in Giza, near Cairo, Egypt. She is accompanied by Ray Knisley, her business manager, on another camel. They are assisted by three local camel handlers in native dress. Anita is dressed in black dress and black hat with veil.

Group of cars waiting in line to buy gasoline at local service station. During the Iranian Revolution, Iran had ceased its export of oil causing prices to skyrocket. We were caught in a crunch that became a regular part of our lives. It appears to be a Mobil service station in Arcadia. The first four cars in line are the: brand new Ford Mustang (1979 model), Chevrolet Chevette (?), Chevrolet Monte Carlo, and Chevrolet Camaro.
