Due to low turnout at its meetings, an Arcadia anti-drug and alcohol group in the organizational stage has decided to hand its mailing list over to another organization, Community Challenge.
The Arcadia Community Center now offers a meal program with a charge of $3, as there in no federal funding for this program. The Center offers a variety of programs, from skilled nursing care to government benefits counseling to recreation programs to dances and free movies.

The Arcadia City Council snapped up a surprise offer by Falcon Communications to provide cable TV service to the south side of Arcadia. Most cable services have been reluctant to move into the community because they do not wish to compete with Group W cable which already has a non-exclusive agreement to operate in the city.
Group W Cable celebrated the hook-up of its first cable television subscriber south of Foothill Blvd. Group W and Arcadia city officials gathered at the home of Frank Waite on La Sierra Dr. in Arcadia to present the new connection and a new television as a gift.

Members of Arcadia Interfaith Action Group--representing the Baha'i, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim and Sikh faith community--vehemently condemn the "senseless murder of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer." The group recognizes "that people of color are much more likely to be the victims of such violent treatment by law enforcement personnel."
