Originally it was to be named "Are Husbands Necessary." Directed by F.H. Griffith, June-July, 1939. Gate shows in front of photo with house in rear. Mrs. Clara Baldwin Stocker and W.T. McGinley, her business manager, pictured probably about 1890. Article this was copied from related to son of Clara, Albert E. Snyder and daughter, Rosebudd Mullender, accusing McGinley in September of 1929, of getting thousands of dollars in gifts and property from their mother through fraud.

First community dial office in the Bell system was located in this 29 ft. x 33 ft. building at 19 East Alice. It belonged to Southern California Telephone Company.
