Rowing on the lake in a boat named CLARA are Clara Baldwin Stocker (second from right), Lucky Baldwin's elder daughter; Clara's fourth husband, Harold Stocker (rowing); and several friends. A copy of this photo appears in the March 2, 1909 Los Angeles Daily Times pt.II p.8 with the following identification: FAMILY GROUP ON THE LAKE AT SANTA ANITA. Left to right, in boat - Mr. Mathews, Mrs. F.D. Black, Mr. Stocker ("Lucky's son-in-law), Mrs. H.C. Wyatt, in white; Mrs. Stocker (Lucky's daughter) and Mrs. Scott. There are seven people seated in the boat, but only six names are identified in the newspaper article. Article is in Arcadia History file Baldwin, Elias J. Description: Baldwin Coach Barn -- Built in 1880, this barn housed Lucky Baldwin's carriage horses in stalls of redwood and cedar, with elaborate ironwork. It was restored in 1958 and still stands in the Arboretum.

Serbian Orthodox Church of Christ the Savior at 1424 S. Baldwin Avenue. This congregation bought property from the American Lutheran Church (later became Lutheran Church of the Cross) in 1963. View is taken from west side of Baldwin, facing entrance. Note 9-17-2008: The 1963 date of sale is not certain as the 1964-65 city directory has the Lutheran Church of the Cross still occupying 1424 S. Baldwin Avenue. Lutheran Church of the Cross moved into a new building in June, 1965 according to item #15 in the Arcadia - Churches VF, so the building may have changed hands in 1965 - (Yvonne Ng).
