Arched doorway leading to kitchen in the interior of mansion, former home of Prince Erik of Denmark in 1920s at 2607 S. Santa Anita Avenue. Built in 1924. Property now owned by Arcadia Congregational Church. Photograph by Terry Miller.
Note: Per Jolene Cadenbach, a fire destroyed Prince Erik Hall in June 2021, tear down started around end of 2021, and was completely torn down in 2022.

Baldwin M. Baldwin and Dextra Baldwin, view from the back, standing in grass. Baldwin has large straw hat on and appears to be age 2 or 3. Both have on what appears to be rompers and high buttoned shoes. Dextra may be age 6 or 7. Apparently taken at Baldwin Ranch.
Baldwin Ranch entry in 1914 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade. Entered by Mrs. Anita Baldwin McClaughry. Peacock of white roses and lilies-of-the-valley, mounted in an oak tree at the front of a decorated car. B.R. Marsh rode in the car.
Baldwin Ranch groves looking north toward mountains. Also in photo is wooden irrigating trough on right, and a two-horse team hitched to light wagon, also a single horse with rider. It appears that present-day Henniger Flats is high flat mountain just above and to the left of the road. Also Hastings Ranch area would be low foothills. This photo belongs to the Huntington Library. Baldwin Ranch Store. A large two story building with cupola atop. On wooden siding is painted: Dry Goods Fancy Goods Groceries and Provisions Brandies Wines. It stands under tall eucalyptus trees. Joe Buck, resident, locates it at gate on what is now Old Ranch Road.
Bali House through the jungle in the north shore at lake at the Arboretum. Part of set for the filming of "A Honeymoon in Bali," starring Madelene Carrol and Fred McMurray. Originally it was to be named "Are Husbands Necessary." Directed by F.H. Griffith, June-July, 1939. Gate shows in front of photo with house in rear. Part of house on right side of photo is draped with what looks like a black cloth.

Charles Francis Earl is seen standing next to a tractor, holding his young son, William Earl. Behind the Earl's is the vacant lot Mr. Earl purchased in the mid 1930s when it was a hayfield. The vacant lot as seen in this photo is shortly before construction began on their home in late 1951 and early 1952. When constructed, the address was 1050 Paloma Drive. See also Photo #1634.
Charles Shugert, proprietor of Shugert's House of Toys is pointing out boundaries of First parking district to other merchants who would profit from it.
