Ray Ramuz (on tricycle) with his mother Hazel at entrance to the family nursery at 404 S. Santa Anita Ave. Ray is the present (1980) owner of the facility, which became Arcadia Nursery about 1929. Son Ron is currently a partner with his father and will carry on the business.

Arcadia High School Marching Band playing in President Dwight Eisenhower's inauguration parade in Washington, D.C. Band Director at this time was Ray Bowman. He is seen marching at left (next to motorcycle). The U.S. Capitol Dome is seen at the head of Constitution Avenue.

This was at Arcadia County Park area and according to Ray Ramuz at Arcadia Nursery who was a small boy at the time, "snow" was bleached corn flakes.

Ray Ramuz, who lived across from Arcadia County Park area where this was filmed, said that the "snow" was bleached corn flakes.
Mission bell from San Gabriel Mission hanging in rustic shelter built for it. Just how Baldwin acquired this bell is unclear. It was returned to the Mission in the 1930's. This is another of the Baldwin playing cards.
The automobile of Officer Albert Matthies, who was killed July 18, 1927. Photo shows how automobile was shot by the three killers. It appears that the auto had police lights on either side of the windshield.

This photograph was published in the Arcadia Tribune, August 20, 1956 with the caption: Here comes mama--By all indications from this picture, it looks as if the children weren't the only ones who were having a good time at the recent Arcadia Recreation Department city-wide track meet. The Tribune camera caught Mrs. Mary Turner as she broke the tape in the "feature" race of the afternoon. Running a close second in the event is Mrs. John Panatier followed across the finish line by Mrs. Lucas.
