Firefighter receives third degree burns in Monrovia arson fire. Arcadia Fire Captain Thomas Devlin was injured in fire at a business at 335 West Chestnut Avenue in Monrovia on December 26, 2015. Suspect commits suicide.
Arson is suspected in a $150,000 fire that gutted a brand new office building at 411 South First Avenue on September 11. The building housed the law offices of Pike, Wilson and Cosso.
Jim Hauser, a 40-year resident who is active in the Arcadia Red Cross, Arcadia Historical Society, and the Rotary Club, was named Senior Citizen of the Year.
