Samah Ouda, a 12-year-old girl from Beit Hanoun, Gaza who was shot in the head by sniper fire, was treated at Arcadia Methodist Hospital by Dr. Bala S. Chandrasekhar. She had received help from the Palestine Children's Relief Fund.

Dr. Paul Johenk, 79, the retired chaplain and director of the department of religion and medicine at Methodist Hospital in Arcadia, has died of natural causes. Arcadia's Citizen of the Year in 1975 and member of numerous organizations, he is profiled.
Peacock with its feathers spread is seen on what is thought to be Pig Hill, part of Tallac Knoll where Anita Baldwin kept her pigs. There is a fence behind the peacock and a number of pigs visible.
