The Tribune camera caught Mrs. Mary Turner as she broke the tape in the "feature" race of the afternoon. Running a close second in the event is Mrs. John Panatier followed across the finish line by Mrs. Lucas.

Incumbents Maryann Gibson, John McClain, and James Romo will defend their seats on the Arcadia School Board in the April 15 election. A forum will be held in which challengers Daniel Haste, Fred Peritore and Roger Sonnenberg wil discuss issues with incumbents.
The family of John Chan has filed a claim aagainst Arcadia and the police, saying officers' negligence led to his death. Chan died in a traffic accident in February.

John Gottuso, an Arcadia minister, psychologist and family counselor, has been accused by two state licensing boards of sexually abusing 10 female clients. The trial is set for February 1990.
The family of John Chan has sued the City of Arcadia, three of its police officers, and Lisa Welchert, the driver of the car that killed Chan last February 9.
