"Happy New Year," Arcadia's float entry in the 1989 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, features a top hat and cane, a pair of white gloves and two champagne glasses overflowing with orchids and roses. The Arcadia Rose Court rides on the float.
Clapboard house shown at the very edge of excavation work for flood control channel being constructed. There are rabbit hutches in area behind house. Exact location in Arcadia not known.

Looking east toward boat house. Two men can be seen standing at either side of entrance to boat house and a man and a lady can be seen in a row boat on lake. Boat house was reportedly built c. 1891 by E.H. Gorrill of Sierra Madre. It was destroyed on December 26, 1969 in a fire spawned by a smoldering cigarette and fanned by Santa Anita winds.
Looking east toward Boat House and two ladies standing by fountain at Baldwin's Ranch. There appear to be lilies in pond and calla lilies planted along walk. Ladies have not been identified. For more information on the boat house, see photo #878A.

First Ave. At this time this building housed the Arcadia Tribune. Small house seen at right edge of photo is 100 N. First which was built in 1919 by Dr. Fletcher Sanborn.

"El Camino Real," Arcadia's float entry in the 1967 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade. Father Serra, founder of historic California missions, is shown traveling the famed thoroughfare. Arcadia's Queen, Christine Ramos, graces the throne. The scroll is covered with yellow chysanthemums, gladioli, orchids and roses. A framed copy of this removed from wall outside Admin. office and currently stored in map case in basement, as of February 2017.
House at 180 West Huntington Drive, Arcadia, located just north of the municipal athletic field adjacent to Arcadia City Hall. It was part of the Le Meridien hotel land but is being sold Salvation Army and moving to Pasadena. In the year 2000 this was the location of Oakcrest Adult Rehabilitation Center. In this photo, notice its house numbers in disrepair. See document "State Wars on Bookies." A house at 180 West Huntington Drive in Arcadia was raided and four men were arrested who were using binoculars to catch the race results and flashing them to bookmakers throughout the nation. Los Angeles Times, January 17, 1938.
"Your Own Back Yard," Arcadia's float entry in the 1992 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, features a garden area centerpieced by a large tree and tree house. Riding on the float is the Arcadia Rose Court.
Young lady is seen kneeling with arms outstretched. Other people are watching her and listening to the music of the drums and flute-like instruments. This was a love-in at Arcadia County Park.
