Parachute pictured coming down on Balloon School field. San Gabriel Mountains and Chantry Flats Road can be seen in background. Parachutes were used as emergency way to evacuate balloon in case of enemy fire, lightning, etc., according to H.F.Paden.

"America the Beautiful," Arcadia's float entry in the 1962 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade. Perched atop red, white and blue shield is a majestic eagle with wings spread. A framed copy of this removed from wall outside Admin. office and currently stored in map case in basement, as of February 2017.

Clara Baldwin photographed in one of those cut outs often found at amusement parks early in the twentieth century. There apparently had been another person in the photo, but this person has been cut completely out of photo.

Group of 30 students and one teacher standing by the "little red schoolhouse." It was on corner of California and Santa Anita Avenue and had been converted out of a vacant saloon. It was pressed into service when students outgrew new building that opened in 1907. We believe African-American boy in second row is Julian Fisher.
Arcadia Public Library at 20 W. Duarte Road before the remodel/expansion project. This view appears to have been taken shortly after it was built in 1964.
