375 Arcadia High School Apaches are set for marching in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade on January 2, 2017, and at the Rose Parade Band Fest on New Year's Eve at Pasadena City College. Band director is Mr. Seth Murray. The Apache Marching Band has performed in the Rose Parade 15 times over the past 50 years.

Kelsey Miller, 14, who will be a freshman at Arcadia High School, hopes to become the majorette for the school band. The Women's Health and Issues club at Arcadia High School has organized a petition against misogynistic music at this Saturday's prom. Activities director John Pung said he supports the club's cause and could guarantee that 20 songs from the club's 300 song list won't be played.

Arcadia High School coach James O'Brien, who has led the cross country team to two CIF State and three CIF-Southern Section championships, has been fired. He was told the reason was, "We want to go in a different direction." He will remain a teacher at Arcadia High School.
