"Ye Fairy of Ye Oak," 1915 Pasadena Tournament of Roses float entered by Mrs. Anita Baldwin McClaughry. Dextra McClaughry (age 13) and Baldwin McClaughry (age 10), children of Anita, rode on the float. Dextra, the Queen of Fairyland, stood beneath a spreading oak while the floor of the carriage was converted into a meadowland of softest green upon which shell pink roses, lilies-of-the-valley and hyacinths grew.

Rabbit growers, rabbit breeders, National Rabbit Association of America will meet in the Chamber of Commerce room at City Hall. Program will feature a display of Junior Bucks and Does. Next Tuesday Arcadians will vote on two proposals: 1--Arcadia Elementary School Board seeks approval of $600,000 bond issue. 2--Tax increase to meet Monrovia-Arcadia-Duarte High School district needs.
The official song for the 2nd annual Peach Blossom Festival, "When it's Peach Blossom Time in Arcadia," is now being sold at local music stores. Published by Hortense Seymour, the Betty Graeme tune is selling for 50 cents per copy.

A short story called "The Bipartisan Blond" by Arcadia author Hannah Smith appears in the September Ladies' Home Journal. She published a book called "For Heaven's Sake" about three years ago.
Mrs. Richard Durkee, known professionally as "Carmeleta," will appear in South Pasadena before a Masonic Lodge meeting. She recently opened a studio in the Arcadia Music Mart.
