View west on Huntington Drive clearly showing Drive-In Markets which were located around service station on SW corner of First and Huntington Drive. Moving picture theater is mid-way in block on south side of street. Church with tower on NE corner of Huntington Drive and Santa Anita Avenue was moved to South First Avenue about 1935.

Among other signs in the window is one for polo at Midwick Country Club which was between Alhambra and Monterey Park. On side of building is painted ad for Wrigley's P.K. chewing gum. Located about 200 block of N. First Avenue.
Eight women at a driving range at Par 3 Golf Course in Arcadia. Three of the women are holding golf clubs and in position to swing at the balls. Some of the same women appear in photo ID 1923.

Home of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bertolina. It was originally located on California (a street which at this time was 3 blocks south of Duarte Road). It washed off its foundation and was then moved to NW corner of 2nd and Alta. There are broad front steps and stone foundation seen in photo.
Northwest corner of the "Smoot Hole" and dump before clean-up began in 1938, just prior to the subdivision of El Rancho Village. This view was near street named Coronado.
Engineering Science building which was built on the site where Santa Anita Theater had been for almost thirty years at 125 W. Huntington Drive. It was completed in the late 1970s. (This photo missing as of 4/10/2013).
Photo titled "Leave taking" has been copied from the deck of cards Baldwin had made. This is on the eight of Diamonds. It shows Elias J. Baldwin apparently getting ready to get into a light carriage. There appear to be two young girls bidding him farewell. In background are 3 women dressed for travel as well as one man. This photo belongs to the Huntington Library. Tree-lined street coming in on right edge of photo about two inches from bottom of photo and intersecting Santa Anita, is Duarte Road. Note wash that at present is just west of Arcadia High School. Rio Hondo Wash runs east to west across middle of photo.
