Four men in front of Baldwin's coach barn. Two are standing, two are seated in light buggy; none identified. Across base of photo is printed "J.T.Tuttle & Co, Sierra Madre, publishers of Southern California Views." The back of photo at the Huntington Library had written on it: Carter, 1937. Possibly given to Huntington Library by that person. This photograph belongs to the Huntington Library. It is shown here for research only.

Large stone Maltese Cross erected on the Baldwin Ranch by Anita Baldwin, marking graves of the four American Derby winners owned by her father, Elias J."Lucky" Baldwin. The cross and horse's graves are now situated at the Santa Anita Race Track. There is a sign with all details of horses' names and races won.

Among other signs in the window is one for polo at Midwick Country Club which was between Alhambra and Monterey Park. On side of building is painted ad for Wrigley's P.K. chewing gum. A girl crosses the finish line in an apparent relay race. She is running barefoot, wearing shorts and a striped shirt, holding a baton. This photograph was in the Arcadia Bulletin, p. 3, August 20, 1956. The caption read, "Bringing home the bacon for the Holly Avenue playground in the recent City Recreation Department track meet is an unidentified young lady. Although her smile is one of victory, her team finished in fourth place behind Longley Way, Hugo Reid, Vista Park.

Serbian Orthodox Church of Christ the Savior at 1424 S. Baldwin Avenue. This congregation bought property from the American Lutheran Church (later became Lutheran Church of the Cross) in 1963. View is taken from west side of Baldwin, facing entrance. Note 9-17-2008: The 1963 date of sale is not certain as the 1964-65 city directory has the Lutheran Church of the Cross still occupying 1424 S. Baldwin Avenue. Lutheran Church of the Cross moved into a new building in June, 1965 according to item #15 in the Arcadia - Churches VF, so the building may have changed hands in 1965 - (Yvonne Ng).

Santa Anita School Mrs. Rutherford's fifth grade classroom photo by Thompson Photo Service, Los Angeles (from the envelope which has been discarded). The school was located at 1900 South Santa Anita Avenue from about 1950 until June, 1981. In 1982, Arcadia Christian School moved in to this location.
