The Burnell estate is shown, heavily covered with what appears to be ivy growing one side of the front of the house. This was the home of George Edwin Burnell, author, lecturer and philosopher. The estate was built 1910-1912 and razed in 1961. It was located at 290 West Foothill Blvd., and encompassed 7 acres.

Group of cars waiting in line to buy gasoline at local service station. During the Iranian Revolution, Iran had ceased its export of oil causing prices to skyrocket. We were caught in a crunch that became a regular part of our lives. It appears to be a Mobil service station in Arcadia. The first four cars in line are the: brand new Ford Mustang (1979 model), Chevrolet Chevette (?), Chevrolet Monte Carlo, and Chevrolet Camaro.
Santa Anita School Mrs. Rutherford's fifth grade classroom photo by Thompson Photo Service, Los Angeles (from the envelope which has been discarded). The school was located at 1900 South Santa Anita Avenue from about 1950 until June, 1981. In 1982, Arcadia Christian School moved in to this location. Arcadia Community Church located at this time on NE corner of Huntington Drive and Santa Anita Avenue, later moved to NE corner of First Avenue and Alice Street and became Arcadia Presbyterian Church.
