The Burnell estate is shown, heavily covered with what appears to be ivy growing one side of the front of the house. This was the home of George Edwin Burnell, author, lecturer and philosopher. The estate was built 1910-1912 and razed in 1961. It was located at 290 West Foothill Blvd., and encompassed 7 acres.

Ray Ramuz (on tricycle) with his mother Hazel at entrance to the family nursery at 404 S. Santa Anita Ave. Ray is the present (1980) owner of the facility, which became Arcadia Nursery about 1929. Son Ron is currently a partner with his father and will carry on the business.

O.D. Harris home on NE corner, 15 E. Orange Avenue (later street name changed to 15 Colorado Blvd). It is listed in 1928 City Directory as on Orange Avenue address. House was demolished about 1960. Twenty people standing and sitting in front of house, gathered for a McCoy family reunion.[The house stood until 1962 according to description of photo ID 1029. Noted 7/25/2011.]

This is home built by Aloyosius Mauch for his family at their ranch at Palm Avenue and Holly Avenue in Arcadia. The first structure put up was a garage which son Henry lived in beginning in 1922 when family bought land. House was completed a few years later. Aloyosius was grandfather of Sgt. Richard Mauch of the Arcadia Police Dept.
