Left to right, in boat - Mr. Mathews, Mrs. F.D. Black, Mr. Stocker ("Lucky's son-in-law), Mrs. H.C. Wyatt, in white; Mrs. Stocker (Lucky's daughter) and Mrs. Scott. View taken approximately 20 feet from front door of the Pines Coffee Shop. It was located at the Drive-In Market area at SW corner of Huntington and First Ave. It was the place of business closest to Huntington Drive. Otto Petersen bought it in 1929, according to Lorraine Petersen, Daughter-in-law. It had previously been called Odette's. (see photo #435)

Together, these three negatives are of a Baldwin advertising brochure, c.1891, entitled CALIFORNIA'S CHOICEST LOCALITY. This negative, 983A, has the title page of the brochure and also a "Birdseye view of Arcadia and Santa Anita Tract," 1887.

This photograph was published in the Arcadia Tribune, August 20, 1956 with the caption: Here comes mama--By all indications from this picture, it looks as if the children weren't the only ones who were having a good time at the recent Arcadia Recreation Department city-wide track meet. The Tribune camera caught Mrs. Mary Turner as she broke the tape in the "feature" race of the afternoon. Running a close second in the event is Mrs. John Panatier followed across the finish line by Mrs. Lucas.
