Photo of portion of two story Baldwin Ranch boarding house (built 1919 by Anita Baldwin). Was east of gate house on present day Old Ranch Road. View east shows two balloons aloft over Arcadia and San Gabriel Valley. It is possible that first river up from bottom of photo is Rio Hondo Wash. Some of trees along Santa Anita appear to be in extreme lower right of photo. Tree-lined street showing in extreme lower left of photo is Duarte Road. Second river coming into photo about five inches up from bottom of photo would be San Gabriel River.
Aerial view of Ross Field looking east from a position of about Huntington Drive and present Holly Avenue. Two large hangars are at west point of triangular property. The wash cutting across foreground is the wash just to west of present high school.
There is no print of this negative. The negative is a Baldwin tract map for the Santa Anita Colony. The 800 acres of Santa Anita Colony were bounded by today's Duarte Road on the north, Live Oak Avenue on the south, El Monte Avenue on the west and Second Avenue on the east.

People looking at wreckage of two autos lying in Santa Anita Wash at Huntington Drive. A Franklin and a Buick went off the narrow wood span on December 14, 1907 or 1909? Fire had burned the bridge in August and so it had no guard rails. See Arcadia VF-Streets Item #18 for description of accident.
