Home at 1050 Paloma Drive is under construction. There is a car parked across the street. This home was built and owned by the Charles Francis Earl family. Construction began in late 1951, completed in early 1952. See also photo #1633.
Charles Francis Earl is seen standing next to a tractor, holding his young son, William Earl. Behind the Earl's is the vacant lot Mr. Earl purchased in the mid 1930s when it was a hayfield. The vacant lot as seen in this photo is shortly before construction began on their home in late 1951 and early 1952. When constructed, the address was 1050 Paloma Drive. See also Photo #1634.
Frank McCoy (1869-1935) pictured in bust-length studio photograph. He has a hat on with brim turned up all the way around. Identified for library by George McCoy in 1978. No other circumstances known.

O.D. Harris home on NE corner, 15 E. Orange Avenue (later street name changed to 15 Colorado Blvd). It is listed in 1928 City Directory as on Orange Avenue address. House was demolished about 1960*. Twenty people standing and sitting in front of house, gathered for a McCoy family reunion.[*The house stood until 1962 according to description of photo ID 1029. Noted 7/25/2011.]
McCoy Building, a two story building which was located at 233 N. First Avenue on west side of First Avenue at St. Joseph Sreet. Date on sign at top of building is 1910. Window and awning have FRANK McCOY GENERAL MERCHANDISE printed on them. Standing in front of store are two men and a woman. Building was demolished in September 1973.
Photo of Elias J. "Lucky" Baldwin on the back of the joker of his specially designed playing cards. It is done as a montage with faces of black youngsters showing, as is a foot, and a hand. Across the card is printed Jolly Joker.

The library does not have a print of this negative. A print appears on p.35 of WHERE RANCH AND CITY MEET. The negative was reproduced from a deck of Baldwin playing cards. This one portrays the Baldwin Winery. Printed along the bottom are the words THE WINERY.
Apparently photo of Elias J. "Lucky" Baldwin taken beside lake on Baldwin Ranch when he was quite elderly. Printing across photo reads: Baldwins Ranch.
E.J."Lucky" Baldwin surrounded by bevy of ladies. Ten women are seen surrounding him. A large United States flag is seen on the right side. Occasion is not known. Probably taken at Baldwin Ranch, Arcadia.
Elias J."Lucky" Baldwin seated in a chair surrounded by four women and two children. None of these people is identified. (Sandy Snider of the Arboretum believes it was at a time when Baldwin needed nurses.) Baldwin is in black with his slouch hat on. One of the women is holding a small dog (terrier) with markings.
