Left to right, in boat - Mr. Mathews, Mrs. F.D. Black, Mr. Stocker ("Lucky's son-in-law), Mrs. H.C. Wyatt, in white; Mrs. Stocker (Lucky's daughter) and Mrs. Scott. View north on First Avenue just north of Santa Fe Railroad Tracks. Graves Drug Store on right with a bank next to it. The two story building on SW corner of St. Joseph Street and First was McCoy Building. According to information given by Stu Henderson, current owner of King Pharmacy, the history of Graves Drug Store is as follows: Originally it was opened by Oscar Seaquist, later bought by Walter A. Graves. Some years later it was bought by R.B. and R.B. Bagnall Jr. (circa 1940's) and was relocated to 54 E. Huntington Drive. By 1950 the City directory listed it as owned by A.P.King and has been known by that name since.

Training track used by Elias J. "Lucky" Baldwin, 2. Aborted L. A. Jockey Club Track project of Anita Baldwin and Joe Smoot in 1933, 3. Small training track belonging to Santa Anita Park Race Track, and 4. Main track and grandstand of Santa Anita Park. Arcadia County Park is seen in lower right portion of photo.
"On the Air," a combined Arcadia-Monrovia float entry in the 1940 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, featured a floral radio. Ten people rode on the float.

A handsomely painted wagon, for the Peach Blossom Parade, bearing SANTA ANITA on side, pulled by 4 work horses, is passing by a building with a sign for BARBOUR'S PRESERVING CO. City Directory locates this business at 27 1/2 Huntington Drive.

The offices here closed on April 4, 2014 and this building was demolished on July 7, 2014. The school district offices moved to a new location at 150 S. 3rd Avenue on April 4, 2014 and then opened to the public on April 14, 2014.
