Left to right, in boat - Mr. Mathews, Mrs. F.D. Black, Mr. Stocker ("Lucky's son-in-law), Mrs. H.C. Wyatt, in white; Mrs. Stocker (Lucky's daughter) and Mrs. Scott. The Great Scot Restaurant built in Arcadia at 100 N. Santa Anita Avenue. It opened in March,1972. Beyond the restaurant the Towne Center Building of about 6 stories can be seen. It is at 150 N. Santa Anita Avenue.
Paul and Selma Backert, who operated a dry goods store at 221 N. First Avenue from at least 1928 to approximately 1940. They came to Los Angeles area in about 1890 and operated general merchandise stores in Newhall and Lancaster. They lived at 212 N. Myrtle in Monrovia.
