"June Bride," Arcadia's float entry in the 1963 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade features a garden wedding with a water lily pond, and two large trees in the garden with baskets of yellow roses hanging from them. A framed copy of this removed from wall outside Admin. office and currently stored in map case in basement, as of February 2017.
Three children stand on lawn in front of white clapboard house rented by William Kreutzkamp family. The children are, L-R: William Kreutzkamp, Jr.; Laura Kreutzkamp; and Charles Kreutzkamp. House was first house on NE corner of First and LaPorte Street and had front door on First Avenue. Mr. Kreutzkamp was station agent at Arcadia Santa Fe Station from 1909-1915.
Arcadia Mayor Barbara Kuhn is seen standing in the Jerry Broadwell Childrens Room puppet theater, with one puppet on each side of her. Photo was taken by Dorothy Denne of the Arcadia Weekly to be used as part of a National Library Week display.

Monroe House -- This is the home (known as The Oaks) of William Newton Monroe, a Los Angeles Councilman, who in 1886 bought 60 acres as a townsite and laid out the town of Monrovia, which was incorporated in 1887. It was located on Primrose Avenue.
