Home of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bertolina. It was originally located on California (a street which at this time was 3 blocks south of Duarte Road). It washed off its foundation and was then moved to NW corner of 2nd and Alta. There are broad front steps and stone foundation seen in photo.
Photo of Charles and Billie Eaton, taken at what might have been a 50th wedding anniversary celebration. They are both in formal attire. A 3-tier cake is visible just over Mrs. Eaton's shoulder.
Photo taken from Arcadia Tribune issue of August 3, 1950 that shows Elias J."Lucky" Baldwin standing in front of Queen Anne Cottage with H.H. Cross, an artist who painted a number of important pictures of the Baldwin Ranch. Hal Roach, editor of Arcadia Tribune at this time, does not remember who brought original photo to them.

Wesley Davies (Manager Rancho Santa Anita, Inc.), and Superintendent Leonard J. Roach. Davies is seen handing deed to 111-acre tract of historic Rancho Santa Anita to Superintendent Darby. This was to be developed into the Arboretum.
Photo titled "Leave taking" has been copied from the deck of cards Baldwin had made. This is on the eight of Diamonds. It shows Elias J. Baldwin apparently getting ready to get into a light carriage. There appear to be two young girls bidding him farewell. In background are 3 women dressed for travel as well as one man. This photo belongs to the Huntington Library. It is shown here for research only.
Rowing on the lake in a boat named CLARA are Clara Baldwin Stocker (second from right), Lucky Baldwin's elder daughter; Clara's fourth husband, Harold Stocker (rowing); and several friends. A copy of this photo appears in the March 2, 1909 Los Angeles Daily Times pt.II p.8 with the following identification: FAMILY GROUP ON THE LAKE AT SANTA ANITA. Left to right, in boat - Mr. Mathews, Mrs. F.D. Black, Mr. Stocker ("Lucky's son-in-law), Mrs. H.C. Wyatt, in white; Mrs. Stocker (Lucky's daughter) and Mrs. Scott. There are seven people seated in the boat, but only six names are identified in the newspaper article. Article is in Arcadia History file Baldwin, Elias J. Three children stand on lawn in front of white clapboard house rented by William Kreutzkamp family. The children are, L-R: William Kreutzkamp, Jr.; Laura Kreutzkamp; and Charles Kreutzkamp. House was first house on NE corner of First and LaPorte Street and had front door on First Avenue. Mr. Kreutzkamp was station agent at Arcadia Santa Fe Station from 1909-1915.

(Their daughter told us in 1980 that everyone called her father Jack.) Mrs. Ott is wearing a lavishly feathered hat and a tailored suit. Marshall Ott is wearing a dark double-breasted suit with his badge.
William Parker Lyon seated in driver seat of a stagecoach hitched to a pair of what appears to be matching dappled grey horses made of wood or other ingredient. Coach has inscribed on side: Overland Stageline. Unidentified man is seated alongside Mr. Lyon.
