Description: Arcadia's First House -- Built in 1880 by O.D. Harris on what is now the corner of Colorado Boulevard at Santa Anita Avenue, this was reportedly Arcadia's first house. The initial meeting of the Arcadia Board of Trade was held here in 1914. The house was torn down in the 1950s.

One of the houses on the north cove of the lake at the Arboretum which was built for the filming of the movie "Road to Singapore," starring Bing Crosby, Dorothy Lamour, and Bob Hope. The house is up on stilts in the lake. The movie was filmed in 1940.

Note training track in the center of photo. Beyond it can be seen houses in Santa Anita Village. This entire area became part of Fashion Park later.
