Fountain is being refurbished in a joint effort by the city, the Arcadia Rotary Club, the Arcadia Unified School District and local artisans. The renovated landmark will be called Peacock Corner. 32. "Arcadia to proceed with Peacock Corner." Article stating that the City Council voted to put up $25,000 towards the cost of putting a 10-foot-tall bronze peacock at Peacock Corner. The sculpture will emerge from the center of the fountain that has been refurbished by volunteers and was unveiled at the Lucky Baldwin Day Picnic. The fountain was rededicated on April 8, 2002, and was originally donated as a tribute to area veterans. Arcadia Weekly, November 14-20, 2002, p. 1.
