Lowry McCaslin, on right, stands before fireplace in dining room at Anoakia, which Mr. McCaslin has owned since the mid 1940's. Other people are Mr. and Mrs. Dale Spickler, as identified in Arcadia Tribune article on January 22, 1976. Mr. Spickler was committee chairman for Arcadia Tournament of Roses Association benefit party held at Anoakia Saturday, January 31, 1976. Helen Jackson, a master artist in making handmade quilts, spoke about the history of quilting at the Arcadia Public Library and displayed many of her quilts.
On March 5, 2005, the city will hold a community art project to decorate 6 by 6 inch tiles that will be affixed to the northwest exterior wall of the Arcadia Public Library. The theme is "Arcadia is..." The project is limited to 200 tiles.
