People looking at wreckage of two autos lying in Santa Anita Wash at Huntington Drive. A Franklin and a Buick went off the narrow wood span on December 14, 1907 or 1909? Fire had burned the bridge in August and so it had no guard rails. See Arcadia VF-Streets Item #18 for description of accident.
Looking north toward San Gabriel Mountains at devastating Monrovia Peak fire on first night. It was to eventually burn more than 13,000 acres and be out of control for five days.

Photographic reproduction of full two-page spread appearing in the February 28, 1938 issue of Life Magazine. Photo shows men on horses with swords, appearing to be fighting a battle. View of front entry to what has been called the O.D. Harris house at 15 E. Orange Avenue (now, Colorado Boulevard). Title Insurance & Trust checked the heritage for us and found the building probably was built in late 1880's for Southern California Floral Farm & Perfumery Co. Building stood until 1962. As of 1980, an apartment building was on that location.
Group of girls in a cooking class at Arcadia Grammar School. All have white headbands and most are identified by writing on photo. Identification on picture says it is 7th and 8th grades.
