Original name of the light rail was the Gold Line. Later, Gold Line was temporarily renamed L-Line and officially renamed A-Line aka Blue Line effective June 16, 2023.

2. Metro Gold Line Extension information in a supplement called "Civic Leadership" in the Pasadena Star News, January 31, 2011. "Once the environmental process is completed in 2012, the project will be ready for funding at the local and federal levels. Metro has made funding the Foothill Extension from Azusa to Montclair a priority project for the agency.
