Bill Adams operates the only year-round pack train in the country and the last one in the San Gabriel Mountains. Adams carries supplies to the 84 cabins in the Chantry Flat area of the Angeles National Forest.

Two candidates, Bob Kladifko (2,623) and Jim Bryant (2,497) who were defeated in the Arcadia school board election two years ago, emerged as winners in Tuesday's election. The third winner was Mike Allison (2,579). Marilyn Perkins (2,225) finished fourth and was not elected.
