About 12 girls in white are seen walking across the lawn at front of First Avenue School (Arcadia Grammar School at this time, 1935). They have garlands of flowers over their shoulders to commemorate their graduation from 8th grade. Photo is also interesting because construction scaffolding is across front of school.
About 38 students and two teachers or possibly three are seated and standing in grass in front of trees or shrubs. We believe the African-American boy is Julian Fisher.

In front is a floral fountain. In the center is a revolving tableau with a peacock. A framed copy of this removed from wall outside Admin. office and currently stored in map case in basement, as of February 2017.

Aerial view of large group of people, many on horses, apparently taking part in either an informal rodeo, or possibly a horse sale. This appears to be intersection of Las Tunas and Temple City Blvd. Building seen at top of photo is probably Vernon's Pharmacy of Temple City, located on NW corner of this intersection. There is a companion photo to this photo, #643. Vera Van Iaawarden, who lives in Temple City, says her father believes this was a balloon ascension.
Aerial view of Ross Field looking east from a position of about Huntington Drive and present Holly Avenue. Two large hangars are at west point of triangular property. The wash cutting across foreground is the wash just to west of present high school.
