A 13-year-old girl named Susan Wiley was reportedly a prisoner in her home for all of her life until a social worker discovered the child abuse. Susan's parents Clark Wiley and Irene Wiley were arrested. The family home is at 6722 Golden West Avenue, in a county area of Arcadia. Susan Wiley was living in an environment of total isolation and deprivation and was malnourished. She cannot talk, is deformed, barely able to walk and is not toilet trained. Arcadia police are searching for a man in his 50s wanted in the attempted kidnapping of a 5-year-old school girl on a field trip to the Westfield Shoppingtown Santa Anita. He was described as Asian, with gray hair and a bald spot on top of his head. He was 5'8" tall, 170 pounds, with yellow teeth, blue pants, and white sneakers.

Metro to improve 210 Freeway barriers, after a series of crashes over the last 2 years involved cars and trucks landing on the Gold Line tracks.
