66. Arcadia's first float entry in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses came from the actions of Cooperative Arcadians (later to become Arcadia Woman's Club). In fall of 1914, Cooperative Arcadians requested $200 from Arcadia City Council and it was granted for the January 1915 parade, however Mrs. Anita Baldwin came forth with an offer to pay the bill prior to the parade. More than 850 people turned out for the unveiling of "Life's Crowning Moments." The Arcadia Tournament of Roses 1997 parade float will depict a coronation in the park with palm trees, a pond, and five former Arcadia Rose Queens. Fiscal problems forced the Arcadia Tournament of Roses to cancel having a Rose Court this year. The five former Rose Queens are not named.
