Jeffrey Fullington, son of Chuck and Sheryl Fullington of Arcadia, was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout by the San Gabriel Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Over the years, with 501 (c)(3) status, the Arcadia Rotary Foundation has funded the Paul Johenk Fund, Ted McBane Fund, Dr. Bruce Walter Fund, Ira Traweek Fund and Nick Pokrajac Fund. The Paul Johenk Fund contributed $15,000 for one of the rooms at Arcadia Methodist Hospital, $10,000 to Arcadia Public Library for refurnishing a room, $10,000 toward construction of the Ruth and Charles Gilb Arcadia Historical Museum. Board of Directors are Bill Gleason, Brian Hall, Mike Real, John Murphy and Ira Traweek.

Carol Libby was honored as Arcadia Senior of the Year for 2001 by the Arcadia Rotary Club. Carol has been in Arcadia since 1956 and is Curator at Arcadia Historical Society.
The annual Scout Expo was held at Santa Anita Park's infield on Saturday, June 4. The Boy Scouts of America Councils of Verdugo Hills, Los Angeles and San Gabriel Valley met there to showcase their talents.
Arcadia Rotary Club and other clubs in the United States raised $30,000, which was matched by the Rotary Foundation to total $330,000. The money will go to college loans for students in a southwest Ugandan village.
On February 23, the Arcadia chapter of the Rotary International Club will unveil and dedicate an old-time tower clock to the City of Arcadia. Rotary International celebrates its 100th anniversary next week.
The Rotary Club met at and toured Arcadia Methodist Hospital. Rotarian Dennis Lee is CEO of the hospital and Rotarian Greg Bond is president of the Methodist Hospital Foundation. Other Rotary service projects discussed.
