Arcadia High School seniors Shannon Stockdale and Stephanie Valenzuela were named as princesses of the 2002 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Royal Court. They will reign over the 113th Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl game.
62-year-old Gary J. DiSano of San Juan Capistrano, formerly of Arcadia, is the new Tournament of Roses president. He unveiled the theme for next year's parade: "2010: a cut above the rest." He has been a Tournament of Roses volunteer since 1972.
Rose Queen Courtney Lee and her Royal Court visited City of Hope to bring holiday cheer to patients. Courtney Lee is from Arcadia and will reign over the 120th Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year's Day, 2009.
The 380-member Apache Marching Band, under the direction of Tom Landes and its 62-member color guard, will march in the 2003 Tournament of Roses Parade.
