Issues were redefined at a Camino Grove PTA forum by the four candidates for three positions on the Arcadia Board of Education. Candidates were Bob Kladifko, Mike Allison, Jim Bryant and Marilyn Perkins.
A second jury has recommended the death penalty for Prentice Juan Snow, convicted of killing Arcadian Alfred Koll, who operated Koll's Professional Pharmacy in Pasadena. Sentencing is expected on August 22.

Arthur Tucker, former Arcadia school administrator, died September 15 after a long bout with cancer. Tucker served as Principal at Holly Avenue, Highland Oaks and Camino Grove Schools.

Isabelle Stires is retiring after 19 years in the Arcadia Unified School District. This past year Mrs. Stires has been teaching second grade at Camino Grove School. Before that she taught second and third graded at Bonita Park School. She and her husband plan to travel.
