Trouble continues for a teen music "night club" that opened in December 1977 on First Avenue. Noise, trash, and parking have been problems. Now it is restroom facilities and fire regulations.
A new director has been hired to take the place of Dave Alstadt, who is moving to direct vocal music. The new man is John Work, currently band director at Pasadena High School.

Supervisor Schabarum joined with two other board members asking Assessor Alexander Pope to mail out property tax re-evaluation notices immediately so people will know before June 6 primary and they vote on Propositions 13 and 8.
Proposals to further reduce the Arcadia school district budget include elimination of all field trips not within walking distance and of all music festivals.
All-city picnic will be held October 12 to fete the Bicentennial. Music, games, etc. are being planned by the Special Events Committee of the Arcadia Bicentennial Commission.
The biggest community wide event of the Bicentennial period will be held Sunday October 12 at Arcadia High School. Music, food, dancing, booths. Event will begin at 1:00 P.M.
The Anoakia area has become a part of Arcadia as of August 15, 1975. The approximately 40 acre area has 40 registered voters. This culminates years of effort.
The city tax on utility bills will be discontinued if you meet the following requirements: 1. Married couple with gross income under $7500. 2. Single persons with gross income under $5000. 3. Anyone who is eligible for Social Security, aged, blind or disabled categories. Fill out the appropriate form and return it to City Hall before October 31 to avoid the tax for 1975. Eligibility must be reestablished year.
