Due to a shrinking budget the audio-visual department of the Arcadia Public Library has been closed by the City Council. The Arcadia school system has been offered the films and equipment, worth approximately $100,000. The cuts in the library budget will also mean reduction in personnel and operating hours. Less than a month before the Arcadia Historical Society was going to open, the Arcadia City Council has voted to move its building to a new site, at the southwest corner of the Arcadia Public Library.

Louie Peterson who runs A & A Motorcycle Repair near the corner of La Porte & First Avenue has created a motorcycle museum in one part of his shop. On display are 20 mostly British motorcycles and a unique steam driven cycle. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday 10 A.M. to 5 P.M.
