The Drive-In Liquor store has reopened in its new building but the owners, Fred Palladin and Thomas Turiace, have several problems and complaints about the city's role in developing the property.
Deed restrictions designed to maintain architectural and landscaping standards for the Santa Anita Oaks area have been replaced by the Arcadia City Council with a special zone designed to accomplish the same end.

Vatar Kilbashian, of Huntington Jewelers, and his family have vanished. They left, supposedly on vacation, stating their intention to return on January 5. They did not return. A half million dollars in jewelry in missing. Kilbashian also left behind thousands of dollars in bad checks.
