Five young women were chosen to ride in Arcadia's entry in the 1996 Tournament of Roses Parade. All residents of Arcadia, they are: Erica Mead, Michelle Medeiros, Nicole Mosteller, Rebecca Choi and Michelle Wilson.
Lianne Mead, 17, of Arcadia High School, is one of 7 young women chosen out of 686 hopefuls to be on the 1995 Tournament of Roses Royal Court. The Queen will be chosen on Tuesday, October 18th.

An 82-year tradition ended Monday when the Arcadia Tournament of Roses Association announced it will disband and not enter a float in the next Pasadena Rose Parade.
More than 850 people turned out for the unveiling of "Life's Crowning Moments." Fiscal problems forced the Arcadia Tournament of Roses to cancel having a Rose Court this year. The five former Rose Queens are not named.
