The bodies of two missing men identified as Haang Fung Chin, also known as Edward Chin, of Arcadia and Cheuk Lun Cheung, also known as Alan Cheung, of Monterey Park were found badly charred in a desert area south of Barstow.
Details have been released on the deaths of Alan Cheung of Monterey Park and Edward Chin of Arcadia. Their charred bodies were found in the desert, west of the Barstow (15) Freeway on October 26, 2003.

A parkland plan proposes linking 17 miles of trails and natural habitat in an uninterrupted loop running through the heart of the San Gabriel Valley and Whittier area. The two rivers, the "strands" of the necklace, would culminate at Whittier Narrows and be linked at the top by a "clasp"--a trail running through Hanson Quarry. Ryan Brock, 29, of San Gabriel, was shot several times in the chest Wednesday, April 13, 2005 in the parking lot of 99 Ranch Market and later died. Police believe it was not a random robbery gone bad but there may have been a relationship between the suspect and the victim. The suspect appeared to be Latino, around age 20. Police are seeking help from witnesses.
At 1:53 PM on April 6, 2004, Arcadia Police Department officers descended on the Arcadia Public Library and arrested two men. One of the two men was seen passing a loaded gun to the other.
