Recreation classes and programs for Arcadia residents will be increased for everyone except senior citizens under a new fee schedule adopted by the City Council.
"The proposed Skateboard Park for Arcadia young people is moving closer to a reality," said City Manager Bill Kelly. Currently, the project is on the capital improvements list for $300,000 and the preferred location is Bonita Park.
Arcadia City Council has hired consultant Steve Rose, of Purkiss Rose & Associaties, for $8000 to look into establishing a skateboard facility in a local park.
Owners of recreational vehicles (RV) have been given 3 months to move from Santa Anita Village, a trailer park on unincorporated land on East Live Oak Avenue. The trailer park does not have permits for RVs.
