Arcadia High School Marching Band selected to march in 2021 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade. This will be Arcadia High School's 17th time in the Rose Parade. Bob Miller is the Tournament of Roses President.
Pasadena Tournament of Roses 2020 Royal Court announced. Royal Court members will serve as ambassadors of the Tournament of Roses, the Pasadena community, and the greater Los Angeles area and will each receive $7500 educational scholarship. One girl on the court, Rukan Saif, is from Arcadia High School.
375 Arcadia High School Apaches are set for marching in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade on January 2, 2017, and at the Rose Parade Band Fest on New Year's Eve at Pasadena City College. Band director is Mr. Seth Murray. The Apache Marching Band has performed in the Rose Parade 15 times over the past 50 years.
Arcadia City Council made three appointments to the Downtown Arcadia Improvement Association (AIA) board of directors. They are Jason Kruckeberg, Assistant City Manager and Development Services Director, Tim Schwehr, the city's Economic Development Analyst, and Peter Amundson, City Council member.

History of Taste of Arcadia, the Chamber of Commerce event. It takes place September 24 this year at Los Angeles County Arboretum. Traditionally held the last Monday in September, each year the event grows in popularity. Taste of Arcadia began as the Wine Shed Mixer to raise money for Arcadia Tournament of Roses Association.

Arcadia Police Chief Robert Guthrie was honored for his exemplary performance, two Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade princesses from Arcadia, Lauren Buehner and Sidney Grace Pickering, were recognized, and Arcadia man Roshan Akula (pictured) announced his campaign to run for U.S. House of Representatives.
Arcadia bids farewell to board members and welcomes newly appointed. Maki Hsieh, the Director of Arcadia Performing Arts Foundation, is leaving Arcadia for Seattle. Newly appointed are Gary Brewer (Arcadia Beautiful Commission), Kaitlyn Jeong (Human Resources Commission), Brad Thompson (Planning Commission) and Peter Chu (Recreation and Parks Commission).
Arcadia Association of Realtors cancels city council candidate forum that had been scheduled for March 7 at the Arcadia Public Library. But since the city elections have moved from "at large" elections to district elections, the public would be better served by other, upcoming district-specific forums.
Arcadia Historical Society goes dramatic. Board members are forming a repertoire group called "Arcadia History Lives" and will, upon request, perform live skits recreating characters from Arcadia's past.
