They are Salia Baligh, Sahanna Rajinikanthan, Bella Ballard, Zoe Denoncourt, Michelle Cortez-Peralta, Uma Wittenberg, and Adrian Crick. Sahanna Rajinikanthan is an Arcadia resident and a senior at Arcadia High School.
In this week's high school football stat leaders, two are from Arcadia: Keyonn Chatman with 1032 yards, 110 avg, 15 TDs. And Max Yang 6.0 in defensive leading sacks.
Pacific League high schools still waiting for the go-ahead from Los Angeles County Public Health for school districts to resume athletic activity on school campuses. The Pacific League includes Arcadia, Burbank, John Burroughs, Crescenta Valley, Glendale, Muir and Pasadena high schools.
Arcadia High School names Eric Elias as head football coach. Elias is a former assistant coach and an Arcadia alum. He was offensive coordinator at Cantwell Sacred Heart this past season, and has had previous coaching experience at Buena Park, Schurr, and Arroyo.
Pasadena Tournament of Roses new requirement. Royal Court candidates must be vaccinated. Applicants for the Royal Court must turn 17 before December 31, 2021. The Pasadena Area Community College District includes Arcadia, South Pasadena, Altadena, and Sierra Madre.
2023 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade's Rose Court profiled with their hobbies. Sahanna Rajinikanthan, one of the Royal Court, is from Arcadia and enjoys baking. She made it to the state championship for the VEX Robotics Competition and enjoys volunteering as a singing coach in the language of Araneri, passing on her Indian culture to her students.
Arcadia girls get a kick out of opportunity. Three Arcadia High School girls on the soccer team have landed key spots on the school's varsity football team.
Coverage of the 55th Arcadia Invitational, considered one of the top high school track and field meets in the nation. It brings together the stars of track and field from the state and throughout the country for a 2-day competition at Arcadia High School.
