Arcadia will no longer be represented on the Pasadena City College Board of Trustees by one member. A new alignment of districts splits Arcadia into two trustee areas.
Robert Considine, Pasadena City College trustee from the Arcadia district will not seek another term. December 9 is the first day to file for the March 8, 1977 election. January 1 is the deadline for filing.
Raymond Cenizeros, educator; David S. Hannah, business executive, and Harry Scolinos, attorney, are running for the Board of Trustees position being vacated by Robert Considine.
Pasadena City College Board. Three challengers hold leads over incumbents in the recent primary election. In Trustee Area 7, Incumbent Anthony Fellow and Alton Wang, a legal advocate focused on improving representation in government for communities across the country, hope to represent the city of Arcadia on the college's Board of Trustees. Wang led early in a tight race. Both Fellow and Wang recognize the importance of the issues of housing insecurity and increasing access to college courses in the wake of declining enrollment at PCC. David Ma pleads guilty to charges of violating an ordinance prohibiting the placement of election signs on private property when he was running for the Pasadena City College Board of Trustees.

2024 ELECTIONS - Pasadena City College: Four candidates compete for two Board of Trustee seats on the March 5 election. Voters elect a trustess from each of the seven districts in an area that includes Arcadia, a portion of El Monte, La Canada Flintridge, Pasadena, Rosemead, San Marino, Sierra Madre, South Pasadena, and Temple City. Area 2 candidates are Kevin D. Strotz and James Aragon. Area 6 candidates are Ryan Liu and John Quintanilla.
Ryan Liu, a former Pasadena City College (PCC) Valedictorian enters race for PCC's board of trustees Area 6 seat. The seat, which represents portions of El Monte, San Gabriel, Rosemead, Arcadia and Temple City, is currently held by John Martin, first elected in 1979.
Former Arcadia mayor George Fasching has been named to a 12-member committee to oversee the spending of up to $150 million in bond money at Pasadena City College.

Rick J. Caruso, founder and CEO of Caruso Affiliated, who is seeking to build The Shops at Santa Anita in Arcadia, has been named to the University of Southern California Board of Trustees.

Robert Maxie, a successful offensive coordinator who helped Arcadia High School's football team play for a CIF Southern Section Division 8 championship in 2018, was named head coach for Baldwin Park's football team.
